Descended from the immortal race of Numina chronicled
in Ovid’s Metamorphoses, OONONI lived in peace amongst the Chickasaw Indians before the coming of
the WHITE MAN.
Raped by a trio of drunken fishermen, Oononi became a force of vengeance, seducing and then drowning anyone who dared drop a hook in her waters.
But who was that gentle boy, the handsome one, who fished without a hook? What if he wasn’t like all the others? Could he become one with the river?
Oononi bade him slip into the wavering waters of
THE WOLF RIVER NYMPH!
